Japanese artist Naoko Yasue AIR 2013 was the second resident artist at CRETA Rome. The title of her show was “Some Layers”. “In her paintings, the use of saturated and intense color describes chromatic fields, spots, brush strokes and abstract solid forms that are combined with elements, both symbolic and narrative, objectify figures, animals, words and objects to converge in an abstract lyrical style with pop contaminations.”
