Meet JoAnn Schnabel

JoAnn Schnabel AIR 2015 entitled her show “Ornament”. “In my artwork many of my pieces are reminiscent of a certain time or place for me, recalling that place in my own way and hoping to communicate that on a visual level through the use of abstraction and color. Being in Rome I have allowed the city’s abundant architectural ornamentation to influence my carved surfaces and have adopted the classical pedestal base, seen in many museums, to hold these objects that refer to these architectural fragments.” @cretarome #anartistinresidenceaday #terracotta @ C.R.E.T.A.
