Art from Travels in Lazio

Updated: Jun 7, 2022

Great to be able to travel in Lazio and go to museums! This week in Rome we went to the Crypta Balbi, the Medieval museum behind our studio (Renaissance maiolica, inscribed dishes of the “zitelle” of Santa Caterina, and molds from Volpato’s 18th-century workshop), Gagosian Gallery, and the Galleria d’arte Moderna in via Crispi (Arturo Martini’s “Shepherd”) plus the nearby town of Bassano Romano (Madonna in the church of Santa Maria Assunta) #artistresidenciesitaly
